There’s nothing like a little water under the bridge eh? This one feels like a big throwback for me. I recall similar paintings with the same cool mood. It is crazy to think this painting reads cool even though the hues I used seem the opposite of cool!
I wanted to pull from my northwest roots again. This reads Washington State or British Columbia. I remember back in the day pushing boulders into a similar fast flowing river with my brothers. Dangerous but satisfying labor. What a bunch of goons we were… it almost killed my brother at one point - don’t tell my mom. Haha!
