“Redtail”

This regal red-tail was photographed by my friend Ron. It’s been “on deck” for a while since I was so focused on the fable series. But I knew that at some point I’d have a slight lapse in inspiration, which would be the perfect time to get back to painting a bird or two!

I love the Redtail Hawk! I usually only see it high in the sky, but it is unmistakeable by its bright tail. It’s more of an orange color, but I guess it leans a little red. Are you inspired by the birds of prey? Aren’t they majestic?
