I‘ve been jonesing to do landscapes again, makes sense since I need a better view where I paint! (I’m sitting in the kitchen and the litter box is in my sits a few feet away in view haha) But I’ve also wanted to keep trying this historical palette of red, yellow ochre, white and ivory black. My concern was, can I even make a convincing landscape with these colors?
The answer is yes! I feel like this palette was made for fall/winter landscapes. I look forward to dabbling more into these landscapes! I love how this palette creates a subtlety to the landscape that often goes missing when we use brighter colors!
