“Playful”

The story behind this fellow is this: we were enjoying ourselves at the San Diego Zoo like we often do, and we came across a semi submerged exhibit with some turtles and a Caiman (that would be a fun one in the future haha) the subject for today’s painting was dancing happily by the glass and was very interested in us and what we were doing. This creature had a playful spirit! I knew I had to paint him, not only to capture the creature in paint, but to capture a moment. I love it when these creatures seem to embrace a curious and playful attitude.
