Here’s the official bird of Arizona!

This non-migratory bird finds its home in many arid-desert climates throughout the southwest of the United States. Including the county I’m in, although I haven’t been lucky enough to find one yet. I am on the hunt! This beautifully patterned bird is also the largest wren in North America, which is usually a very small bird. They find their homes in all the spiky plants you’d expect in the desert, hence the name!
